About Us

Founded by Terry Woodruff, Drew Woodruff and Erin McBride, MW Global is a Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) and certified Disabled Veteran Business Enterprise (DVBE) in the heart of California. We are proudly veteran-owned and family-run. Our roots run deep in military precision and engineering excellence, fueling our passion for sourcing essential materials—like copper wire, HVAC components, and building products—for civil, structural, and electrical engineering projects. From public infrastructure to hospitals and educational facilities, we handle the sourcing, logistics, and direct-site shipping so you can focus on what you do best: building the future. In a world of complex bids and tight deadlines, MW Global stands as your trusted partner. Our story begins with a shared commitment to service that transcends the battlefield and boardroom.

Terry Woodruff – Joined the U.S. Army during the height of the Vietnam War, Terry served from 1968 to 1972 in Army Intelligence, which demanded sharp analytical skills amid the chaos of Southeast Asia. Stationed in critical intelligence roles, he honed his ability to anticipate needs, mitigate risks, and deliver under pressure—skills that now translate seamlessly to navigating the intricacies of government contracting and supply chain logistics. His veteran perspective ensures our procurement strategies are not just compliant but resilient, turning potential bottlenecks into streamlined successes. Joining Terry in this family venture is his son, Drew, whose naval service embodies the precision engineering at our core.

Drew Woodruff – Enlisting in the U.S. Navy in 2012, Drew trained as a Submarine Nuclear Operator, a role that required mastering the high-stakes world of nuclear propulsion systems and he specialized as an Electricians Mate, Nuclear. He served aboard the USS City of Corpus Christi (SSN-705), a Los Angeles-class fast-attack submarine, where he contributed to covert operations and maintenance under the waves of the Pacific. In 2017, he transferred to the USS Buffalo (SSN-715), continuing his expertise in reactor operations and systems troubleshooting until his honorable discharge in 2018. Those six years submerged in confined, mission-critical environments taught Drew the art of flawless execution—where a single oversight could mean mission failure. Today, as MW Global’s operations lead, His hands-on experience with complex machinery directly informs our focus on mechanical and electrical products, making us a go-to for HVAC integrations and beyond.

Erin McBride – A proud Sacramento State alumni with a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Erin has amassed over 35 years in the trenches of engineering sales, product development, and HVAC specialization. His career kicked off in the 90s, evolving from hands-on design roles to strategic sales leadership at top firms, where he championed energy-efficient HVAC solutions for commercial builds. Erin’s expertise spans everything from thermal dynamics to sustainable material selection, with a knack for translating technical specs into client wins. His 35 years of navigating product lifecycles ensure our procurement recommendations are not only cost-effective but future-proof, aligning perfectly with the demands of green infrastructure and regulatory compliance.

What sets MW Global apart isn’t just our pedigrees—it’s our unwavering dedication to thriving relationships and effortless partnerships. In an industry rife with red tape and supply chain headaches, we’re committed to making your job as easy as possible. We believe the best customer service isn’t reactive; it’s proactive. That’s why our team dives deep into your project specs upfront, crafting tailored sourcing strategies that slash procurement time by up to 40%. Whether you’re bidding on a multimillion-dollar hospital expansion or a school retrofit, we handle the heavy lifting: vetting suppliers, negotiating bulk rates, and coordinating seamless logistics. Our goal? To ensure every project wraps on time and under budget, freeing you to celebrate milestones rather than micromanage margins. This ethos of partnership extends to our core values, rooted in the military’s emphasis on teamwork and accountability. We thrive on open communication—regular check-ins, transparent pricing, and real-time tracking via our client portal—because we know trust is earned one delivery at a time. Our family-run structure means decisions are nimble, responses are personal, and every client feels like an extension of the Woodruff-McBride clan. We’ve seen firsthand how a single delayed shipment can cascade into weeks of setbacks; that’s why our plug-and-play model prioritizes reliability, drawing on Drew’s submarine precision and Erin’s engineering foresight to preempt issues before they arise. Clients rave about our “set-it-and-forget-it” approach: We’re not just suppliers; we’re your strategic ally, amplifying your bids with our DVBE/SDVOSB certifications to meet diversity goals effortlessly. But our commitment goes beyond business—it’s woven into the fabric of giving back.

As proud veterans, we’re acutely aware of the sacrifices that echo long after service ends. That’s why MW Global dedicates 15% of our annual profits to non-profit veteran charities, supporting organizations like the Wounded Warrior Project, Hire Heroes USA, and local California initiatives for homeless vets and mental health resources. By partnering with us, you’re not just gaining a procurement expert—you’re investing in a cycle of service that strengthens communities nationwide.
